Basundari Retreat Ubud – Adults Only

Basundari Retreat Ubud is an adults-only hotel with 11 rooms in the forest east of Ubud, run in the style of a yoga retreat, and guests need to be 18 or older. It opened in 2019.

A yoga shala open to the jungle

The covered shala is surrounded by forest, and it is what reviewers talk about first. Next to it you find a sauna, a cold plunge, an outdoor pool and an infinity pool. Massage therapists work on site, and the hotel offers cacao ceremonies and sound healing. The kitchen is vegetarian.

Suite with pool, villa or deluxe room

There is a suite with a private pool, a superior villa, and deluxe rooms with a balcony, garden view or pool view. Kitchenettes are in the rooms. Breakfast is cooked fresh in front of you, with pastries and home-made granola.

The forest and the town

A cooking class is next door and the Secret Waterfall 230 m away. Ubud's centre is about 2.3 km away, ten to thirty minutes by car depending on traffic. Ubud Palace is 3.7 km away, and the airport, Ngurah Rai International, 35.4 km. Bikes can be hired.
