Kadewa Retreat Ubud – Adults Only

Kadewa Retreat Ubud perches on a hillside above a river valley and has 16 rooms. It opened in 2019, and you have to be 18 or over to stay.

Rooms with a shape of their own

A circular bungalow has its bed in the middle, and a yurt-style room has a peaked roof and a canopy bed. The choice also includes a Garden View Villa, a River Wooden House, a River Pool Bungalow with a slide, a Jungle Loft and a Jungle Private Pool Villa. Some rooms have an outdoor bath. Welcome coconuts and honeymoon gifts are on offer.

Two pools over the valley

The infinity pool and a second pool look over the river and jungle, and a floating bean bag lies in the water. What guests talk about most is that view. The spa has an open-air bath and a yoga programme, and Dino's restaurant cooks breakfast to order.

Steps and a rough road

The site is steep, with many steps between the villas, restaurant and pools, and 75 steps lead to the River Wooden House. The road in crosses unpaved rice paddies, 15 to 45 minutes from central Ubud, 4.8 km away. Monkey Forest Ubud is 4.8 km. The closest airport is Ngurah Rai International, 27.4 km away.
