Galley Bay Resort & Spa – Adults Only

Galley Bay Resort & Spa opened in 1960 and came back from a renovation in 2024. All 98 rooms sit on a private white-sand beach, and the resort admits adults aged 18 and over only. Beachfront rooms open straight onto the sand, with chairs and umbrellas of their own.

Gauguin cottages and beachfront rooms

The Gauguin Cottages and Suites feel like private villas, because each has a secluded garden and a plunge pool. Other guests pick a Deluxe, Superior Deluxe or Premium Beachfront room. The resort is small, so you can walk it end to end in ten minutes, and a turtle sanctuary also lies within the grounds.

Four restaurants, all-inclusive

Sea Grape sits on the beach and has live music every night. Ismay's cooks local island dishes for a supplement, and Gauguin lays out candlelit cabanas for two. Guests notice the fresh food, as menus change daily and some produce grows on site.

Snorkelling, sailing and Stingray City

Snorkel gear, kayaks, paddle boards and Hobie Cats cost nothing extra. The hotel also books excursions, such as Stingray City, while the Indulge Spa offers treatments. Evenings bring a live band rather than big shows. St John's is 4.5 km away, and the main airport lies 9.7 km from the resort.
