Sentido Galomar – Adults Only

Set on the rocky shoreline of Caniço de Baixo, Sentido Galomar is made for quiet days by the Atlantic. This adults-only hotel in Madeira suits couples who like sea views, coastal walks and a calmer pace, with Funchal close enough for evenings out.

Location & Surroundings

You stay on Madeira’s south coast, a short drive from Funchal’s old town and harbour. The hotel sits above the water with easy access to the Reis Magos coastal path and nearby viewpoints. Diving and snorkelling are popular here, and it is simple to plan a levada walk or a wine tasting in the city.

Atmosphere & Facilities

Days feel unhurried, with plenty of space to read, swim and switch off. Expect a strong focus on wellbeing, plus a sea-facing sun deck and direct ocean access for a dip when the water is calm. Bars and dining lean towards relaxed, grown up evenings rather than loud entertainment.

Rooms & Comfort

Rooms are modern and light, and many come with balconies looking out to the Atlantic. A good night’s sleep matters here, so comfort is taken seriously, with practical touches like good showers and air conditioning. If you are choosing between categories, it is worth prioritising a sea view for the full Madeira feel.

Couples & Adult Travellers

This adults-only hotel in Madeira is especially well suited to couples who want time together without a busy, family vibe. You will often find small, thoughtful arrangements for two, such as quieter seating areas and a more refined spa style. For an easy, coastal break that still keeps the island’s best sights within reach, Sentido Galomar feels like a peaceful retreat.
