Altanure Almatere – Adults Only

Altanure Almatere is a Tavira boutique hotel built around a food forest, and you need to be 18 to book a room. Eight individually designed rooms spread over three floors, and each has a terrace or balcony.

Edible trees and herbal tea

The terraces hold edible trees and medicinal plants, so you can brew a fresh herbal infusion yourself. Recycled and upcycled materials furnish the interior. River-cane panels, palm-leaf shutters and Portuguese wool carpets give the rooms their look.

Breakfast and afternoon cake

The vegetarian buffet breakfast comes from an open kitchen, with lots of fresh fruit, and the kitchen cooks eggs on request. Cakes and cookies wait for you in the afternoon. Guests also borrow bicycles, and the hotel offers massages and yoga.

On foot to the Roman Bridge

It is 410 m to the centre of Tavira, and the Roman Bridge is 370 m. The Castle of Tavira is 780 m away. Porta Nova train station is 500 m from the door, but the nearest beaches are 3.5 km away. Faro Airport is 35.4 km away.
